Still it's Christmas Time

lyrics

The floor is littered
with ribbons and foil
Santa Claus has come and gone
and left the children spoiled

The kids, they aren’t so young
The house not so filled with noise
But still it’s Christmas time
for mamma’s girls and boys

The rooms are empty now
but still echo with joy
And nothing’s really changed
except the prices of the toys

The kids are grownups now
and living for themselves
But still it’s Christmas time
for mamma’s little elves

The turkey’s cooking
and the family is here
The time they spend together has changed
but not the atmosphere

And soon they’ll all be leaving
for the places they call home
But still it’s Christmas time
and mamma’s with her own

For now it’s Christmas time
and nobody’s alone
